When she turned twenty-nine Mamase made a decision that changed her life and the lives of those she came to serve: she became the visual artist she was born to be. Mamase’s heritage as a visual artist preceded even the founding of the company.
1990 not only saw South Africa’s official beginning of the death of apartheid but the birth of Mamase.
She later took visual art as one of her majoring subjects in high school, recalling slight memories of enjoying arts and crafts in pre-school as any child would.
Having to pursue a field of study that would result in a career, her passion for art was buried. Finding other interests in business strategy development and implementation, she quickly climbed up the corporate ladder, from strategy and operations consultant at KPMG to Manager at Discovery, these were the roots of her expertise in the business environment.
Mamase started her own art company 2 years into her employment but stayed for another 4 years before officially resigning to pursue it full-time.
Addressing socio-economic issues while bringing our services to the world. Corporate Social Responsibility / Giving-Back is embedded in the day to day operations of By Mamase and not after profits have been made and split.
Our valued marketing team, consists of young, vibrant and passionate group of individuals who live in unfortunate circumstances. Living off the streets (hand to mouth), their undoubted client relationship skills have lead to them being part of the By Mamase’s service value chain and business model. Each of us play part in baking the pie to create an even bigger pie to share.
The shared value team allows By Mamase to develop the future market while also strengthening our South African economy, the marketplace, communities, and corporate coffers.
